If you are searching for Electric Garage Doors Wakefield you may be confused by the different types advertised. An Electric Garage Door is either an Electric Roller Door, or an Electric Sectional Garage Door (Automatic Sectional Garage Door) but you will also see Roller Shutter Garage Doors advertised. A Roller Shutter Garage Door is not a true Garage Door in our opinion - some companies will argue that point but we will never fit a Roller Shutter Door to a Garage only in exceptional circumstances. We always recommend an Electric Roller Door with 77mm Laths to our customers. Call LUMINO Garage Doors for Electric Roller Doors Wakefield on 01924 566102 - expert service and advice guaranteed.

The Best Quality Electric Roller Doors
Insulated Electric Roller Doors with 77mm Laths
You may have been quoted for a Roller Shutter Door with 55mm Laths and have been given a cheaper price. An Electric Roller Door (insulated with 77mm Laths) and a Roller Shutter Door are not comparable. The Electric Roller Door with the 77mm Lath is a Roller Door suitable for a Garage. A Roller Shutter Door with 55mm Laths is not suitable for a Garage (in our expert opinion). Wakefield Garage Doors will not fit a Roller Shutter Door with 55mm laths to a Garage. A Roller Shutter is suitable for a commercial property to add extra security such as retail shop fronts, windows or anything which has something behind it to push on (to add strength and resistance) but it is not suitable for a Garage. Roller Shutter Doors do not offer the same security or durability as the Electric Roller Door and the two shouldn't be confused.
A Roller Shutter is Not a Garage Door
You may think that Roller Doors look the same right? Unfortunately, they are not. Very rarely is this because it is a good door at a bargain price but more overly because it is constructed using cheaper less reliable components which have a shorter lifespan. More importantly, many of these Roller Doors will not include a safety system but rather a Hold to Run Operation using a key fob. The image below is of a poor quality Roller Shutter Door which we had to replace at only 3 months old and not repairable. This is what you don't want to happen to your new Electric Roller Garage Door.
A Failed Roller Shutter Door
Quality Roller Doors Made to Stand the Test of Time
We only install Quality Roller Doors made to last the test of time. When we quote our customers for an Electric Roller Door - it will nearly always be for an ALUROLL. or a LUMINO SecureRoll. BothInsulated Roller Doors are of the highest quality, reliable and designed to last. We only install Insulated Roller Doors with full size Laths. If we cannot fit you an ALUROLL SecureRoll Electric Roller Door due to lack of space, we will never fit an Externally Mounted Roller door to a residential property as we consider them to be unsightly. Customers who are wishing to replace their Garage Door with a Roller Door should always replace with an Insulated Roller Door. If your budget does not allow for an Insulated Roller Door with full size Laths, we would always recommend replacing with a Manual Up and Over Garage Door.

Hard Wired Safety Edge System
All our Electric Roller Doors have a hard wired safety edge system. LUMINO Garage Doors do not install the wireless systems because over a period of a couple of years, batteries can go flat unexpectedly resulting in the door not closing and premature failure causing disruption to the customer. The hard Wired Optical Safety Edge will never lose connection with the main control unit - unless in the case of a power failure making it ultra reliable for the customer and maintenance free. There are many alternative Electric Roller Garage Doors available at very attractive price tags. You may be very tempted by the price tag but it really is a case of "Buyer Beware." Many of these cheaper electric Roller Garage Doors are not CE Compliant and neither do they comply with the Machinery Directive or the Door and Hardware Federation Legislation. These electric Roller Doors will invariably be supplied and fitted at prices of under a £1000 including VAT.
